Karl Lagerfeld Kids

Karl Lagerfeld was born in Hamburg, Germany in 1933.  His fashion career began early on, when he worked as an apprentice at Balmain.  From 1958 onwards, Karl became the artistic director for Jean Patou, worked for Chloé and Fendi and became one of the first freelancers in the modern fashion industry, working between France, Italy, England and Germany.  His most notable job in fashion however was his work as creative director of Chanel, the house where he really made his name and established his status as a successful and forward thinking fashion innovator.  Alongside this, he set up his namesake fashion house in 1984.  Much of Karl Lagerfeld’s work was inspired by his beautiful pet cat, Choupette who features heavily as part of Lagerfeld’s eponymous collection, on bags, phone-cases and clothing.  Karl Lagerfeld kids clothes embody the style codes Mr Lagerfeld set at Chanel, Fendi and in his self-named collections.  Using a mostly monochrome palette with added pops of colour, Karl Lagerfeld childrenswear features cool branded sportswear for that relaxed-casual look, cute Choupette-inspired graphics and fun motifs, and enviable looks for children from baby to teen.
